HOW WE USE “COOKIES” AND SIMILAR TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a small amount of information that’s downloaded to your desktop computer, laptop, smart phones and tablets (each a “device”) when you visit our website.
We use browser session cookies, which are temporary cookies that are erased from your device’s memory when you close your internet browser or turn your device off, and persistent cookies, which are stored on your device until they expire, unless you delete them before that time.
Some cookies are set by the website itself upon you visiting it, e.g. cookies placed by www.purshades.com (First Party Cookies) and others are set by third party service providers who perform some of these functions for us (Third Party Cookies).
We group browser cookies on our website into three categories.
- Required Cookies
- Functional Cookies
- Advertisement Cookies
- Required cookies: These cookies are necessary to enable the basic features of this website to function, such as allowing images to load or allowing you to select your cookie preferences and cannot be switched off in Cookie Preference Manager. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the website will not function then. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

- Functional cookies: These cookies allow us to analyze your use of the website to evaluate and improve our performance and to offer you a better and more secure customer experience on this website.
First Party Analytics Cookies – We use these cookies to estimate the number of unique visitors, to improve our website and our merchants’ websites, and to detect the most searched for words in search engines that lead to a webpage. These cookies only gather information for statistical purposes and only use pseudonymous cookie identifiers that do not directly identify you and are not used to target you with online marketing.
Third Party Analytics Cookies – We also use Google Analytics and other third-party analytics providers to help measure how users interact with our website content. These cookies “remember” what our users have done on previous pages and how they’ve interacted with the website. For more information, please review Google’s privacy practices and Google Analytics Opt-Out.
Authentication cookies are used for the duration of a session (or persistent, if you agree to the “remember me” function) to allow users to authenticate themselves on subsequent visits or to gain access to authorized content across pages.
User-centric security cookies are used to detect authentication abuses for a limited persistent duration, like repeated failed login attempts. These cookies are set for the specific task of increasing the security of the service
Load balancing session cookies are used for the duration of the session to identify the same server in the pool for the load balancer to redirect user requests appropriately.
User interface customization persistent cookies are used to store a user’s preference regarding a service across web pages.

- Advertising cookies: These cookies may be used to share data with advertisers so that the ads you see are more relevant to you, allow you to share certain pages with social networks, or allow you to post comments on our website.

WHAT OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES DO WE USE?
Multimedia content player session cookies (flash cookies) are used for the duration of a session to store technical data needed to play back video or audio content (e.g. image quality, network link speed, and buffering parameters). Flash cookies are different from browser cookies because of the amount of, type of, and way that data is stored. Cookie management tools provided by your browser will not remove Flash cookies.
Social media cookies are placed by many social media plugins (for example the Facebook ’like’ button). We integrate these modules into our platform to improve the experience of browsing and interacting with our website.
Server log files: We automatically gather server log file information when you visit our websites. This includes IP address, browser type, referring and exit web pages, and your operating system.
Pixel: This Site also uses a Facebook Tag API and Custom Audience Pixel Tags through similar use of cookieID’s to collect data about activities of users that are sent to Facebook to track conversions and to allow us to create custom audiences for the products or service that we may advertise on Facebook. This Facebook cookie is a persistent cookie and does not store or contain personally identifiable information.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
While we do not sell personal information to third parties, we do share your data with third parties through the use of the Third Party Cookies and similar technologies to evaluate and optimize the performance of and analyze your use of our online services and for advertising purposes.
You may choose to consent to us sharing data with third parties or opt-out at any time by adjusting your Cookie Preferences Manager.
CHANGING YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES
If you use our Cookie Preference Manager on a mobile device, we process your device’s Advertising Identifier. When you access our Cookie Preference Manager, session cookies will be set by the ad networks listed in our Cookie Preference Manager to honor your preferences if you choose not to receive interest-based advertising. If you clear your browser cookies, this will remove all cookies including the opt-out cookies set by the companies. You will need to re-access the opt-out tool to reset your preferences. Our cookie only knows your last set of preferences and does not reflect the current state of cookies on your browser.
For more information, please see the Guidance on cookies and other forms of online tracking from the Federal Trade Commission.
